March 2024
Our Easter Fair was held on the 30th March & was a great success. We had an Easter Egg hunt for the children which was good fun. As it was a lovely, if cool day, the Gin Bar was well frequented serving drinks and food. Much needed funds were raised for the Village Hall.
Donations 2024
We were again successful in obtaining a grant from LCC of £684.00 towards the cost of updating the floor in the Village Hall. For this we are extremely grateful.
As usual the Parish Council were generous and gave a donation towards the Easter Fair, also the brown bin collections & refreshments for the Christmas Carol Concert. Thanks again.
August 2024
August saw us close the Hall for a few days to allow the floor to be professionally sanded and resealed. Whilst this was an expensive outlay the floor now looks lovely and makes the Hall seem so much brighter.
The Chairman removed all the old kitchen in the ex-bowlers part and replaced it with a new modern cupboard and sink. This is so much better and has given us more usable space.
October 2024
It was decided that the vertical blinds were now passed their best and needed updating. We decided to go with a neutral colour roller blind which are more child friendly and are much brighter.
November 2024
We have placed, in the bowler’s kitchen, a bookcase containing paper back books for residents and hirers to exchange. We hope over time that this will become well used. The books will try to be replaced every 2 months for variety.
The annual Christmas Fair was held on Saturday 30th November. A good time was had by all and made the Village Hall some much needed funds. Our tea & cakes stall did very well and also served pies & sausage rolls.
December 2024
Our annual Carol Concert was well attended and enjoyed by all. Contributions were given by Catforth Primary School, the Parish Council and all the Churches in the Parish. A lovely evening was finished with tea, coffee & mince pies donated by the Parish Council. A collection was held at the end of the eveing for the R.N.L.I and raised £115.40
Our Chairman was successful in obtaining a National Lottery Grant to put towards repairing our leaking back roof & resurfacing the car park. We are extremely grateful for his hard work & it will be such a benefit to the Hall. This we hope to start in the summer months.
Forthcoming Events 2025

The Hall continues to be well used by our permanent hirers, the Dog Club, Karate, Pilates, Diabetes organisation, Cubs & Scouts & Toddlers. We are hoping to start Yoga classes in the near future.
We have many one-off hires including weddings, children’s birthday parties, baby showers, christenings and group tutorials.
