Today we heard the sad news that Margaret Robinson had passed away peacefully on the 30th July at a Nursing Home in Kirkham.
She had been a resident of Catforth, living in the village for around 40 years.
Her first home Heatherlea was shared with her husband Derek and their 3 children Jonathan, Rebecca and Simon who all went to Catforth Primary School. Margaret and Derek had several businesses selling dairy & meat products at market stalls. Margaret continued these after Derek died suddenly. She was an astute, caring lady who loved the village and her garden. She joined Catforth in Bloom and for years helped with the village planting.
Margaret fulfilled her dream of helping to build her new home the Garden House in the land adjacent to Heatherlea. She was never happier than when she was planning this & her garden.
In 2022 Margaret had a serious stroke which left her immobile. Following a long stay in hospital she eventually moved to a converted bungalow in Lytham and was cared for by family & carers. She lived here happily until her final illness meant another stay in hospital and then a short stay at the Nursing Home.
Margaret had a large circle of friends whom she socialised with & went on holiday with both in the UK & to her lovely villa in Denia Spain.
She will be sadly missed by all her family & friends.
